Mobile access that feels familiar from day one

With PassGate, mobile access works the way users already expect. Credentials are added directly to the native wallet and used with a simple tap, similar to payments or tickets. There is no app to download and no new user behavior to learn. For administrators, issuing mobile credentials follows the same logic as issuing physical access cards, only digitally.

A truly open mobile access control platform

PassGate is built as an interoperable mobile access control platform. It is designed to integrate with existing Electronic Access Control Systems (EACS) through APIs. This makes it possible to introduce mobile credentials without changing readers, replacing infrastructure, or creating dependency on a single vendor. The platform is hosted on secure European servers and positioned for environments where data integrity, openness, and long-term flexibility matter.

From credential creation to first entry in minutes

PassGate uses a simple and secure flow to issue mobile access credentials. The process is designed to scale from individual users to large organizations with thousands of credentials:

  • Create a credential using familiar administrative routines
  • Send a secure invitation to the user
  • Add the credential to the native wallet using two-factor authentication
  • Use the phone or watch to access connected entry points

Enterprise security using native wallet credentials

PassGate mobile credentials are stored in the phone’s Secure Element, the same protected hardware used for payment cards. This enables a high level of security while maintaining a frictionless experience. Express Mode can allow access even when the phone is locked or has low battery. For higher-security areas, biometric authentication such as Face ID, Touch ID, or PIN can be required. Credentials can be paused or removed instantly if a device is lost.

Reliable and operational, even without connectivity

Because credentials are stored locally in the native wallet, PassGate supports mobile access on offline readers. This ensures reliable access control even when network connectivity is limited or unavailable, without changing the user experience.

Real-time control over mobile access

Access requirements change constantly. PassGate allows administrators to manage mobile credentials in real time, including pausing, updating, or revoking access instantly. The platform supports long-term credentials for employees or students, temporary access for contractors, and short-term visitor credentials, all managed through the same mobile access control platform.

large-scale-mobile-access

Engineered for complex and large-scale access environments

Behind the user-friendly interface, PassGate is an enterprise-grade mobile access platform. It supports role-based administration, integration with existing access control infrastructure, and interoperability across different environments. By focusing on open architecture and system compatibility, PassGate fits into complex security environments without forcing architectural changes.

Designed for OEMs, campuses, and enterprises

Universities and campuses

PassGate replaces plastic cards with mobile credentials that can be issued remotely. Students and staff use one digital credential across campus, while administrators retain central control and real-time updates.

OEMs

PassGate enables OEMs to deliver mobile access using native wallet credentials through APIs and SDKs. This makes it possible to launch mobile-ready readers and services without developing proprietary apps or closed platforms.

Enterprises

For enterprises, PassGate provides scalable mobile access control for employees, contractors, and visitors, aligned with EU hosting and GDPR-oriented positioning.

One mobile credential, many access points

PassGate credentials are not limited to doors. The same mobile access credential can be used for lockers, printers, parking gates, and visitor systems, depending on how the platform is connected. Any compatible reader can become an access point.
