Veo Reader SCR-S G2

The SCR-S G2 contactless card reader communicates with access control units using the OSDPTM communication protocol, which makes it easy to connect and use with access control systems that also use this standard protocol.

The RFID capabilities and configuration options allow for a multitude of reading options and combinations using the 13.56MHz frequency. Using the Veo Configuration tool you can enable and disable what MIFARE® unique identifiers (UID) the reader will read, combine with up to five MIFARE Classic® or MIFARE Plus® cards with data programmed on a sector and/or up to five additional MIFARE® DESFire® data media programmed in an application.

SCR-S-G2 uses an RGB-type LED stripe and built-in buzzer to communicates statuses to the users.

The SCR-S-G2 can operate in a temperature range from -25°C to +70°C and the reader’s IP65 enclosure protection is dust proof and prevents ingress of low-pressure water jets from any direction in accordance with IEC 60529:2013 (Edition 2.2), Degrees of protection provided by enclosures (IP Code).

The built-in mechanical tamper switch protects against unwanted opening of the enclosure and can also be used for indication that the reader has been removed from its original place of installation. SCR-S G2 has been impact protection tested and complies with IK10 of IEC 62262:2002, degrees of protection provided by enclosures for electrical equipment against external mechanical impacts.

The SCR-S-G2 reader complies with the General Product Safety Directive 2001/95/EC, Radio Equipment Directive 2014/53/EU and the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive 2011/65/EU including the amended Annex II in 2015/863/EU (RoHS3) and thus fulfils the requirement for CE marking of the device.
